THIS IS WHERE WE MEET
I don’t help women become more acceptable.
I support them becoming more fully themselves.
I believe that you are far greater, stranger, wiser and more beautiful than you have yet been able to imagine.
Not because you need to transform into some perfected version of yourself—but because so much of who you already are may still be waiting to be lived.
My name is Susan Florries. I am an authenticated shamana, trauma-informed Stress Coach, spiritual facilitator and storyteller. I work with women who are ready to move beyond merely holding everything together—and begin inhabiting their lives, their bodies and their power more fully. I have one program for this called Shift into Power.
But power, as I understand it, is not about becoming harder, louder or more dominant. It is not about controlling life or forcing the Universe to give you what you want. It is the power that appears when you stop abandoning yourself.
When your nervous system begins to feel safe.
When your intuition becomes audible again.
When you trust what you know.
When you can remain present without becoming smaller.
When you become fluid enough to meet life — and grounded enough to remain yourself. That’s when you will flow into synchronisities and an empowered, successful and most of all loving life.
Safety matters deeply. But safety is not the final destination.
Aliveness is.
I have been exploring consciousness for most of my life
I began meditating as a child. Since then, my path has taken me through spiritual practice, therapy, healing, shamanic work, storytelling, ritual, dance, film, poetry, psychology, stress management—and into experiences for which ordinary language is not always sufficient.
I have been fortunate to learn from several distinguished elders and teachers. In 2023, I was formally acknowledged as a shamana by a respected teacher.
But my deepest education has also come from life itself: from trauma and healing, love and conflict, creativity, spiritual experience, mistakes, friendship, the body, the nervous system—and the continual practice of becoming more honest about who I am.
In 2016-17, I experienced two psychosis, although the second one was not as intense as the first, which lasted three months.
Within shamanic traditions, experiences like mine may also be understood as initiation. For me, it was cathartic, profoundly spiritual and life-changing. It altered my understanding of consciousness and of what a human being can experience. I do not romanticize psychosis, and I do not present my experience as a blueprint for anyone else. But neither will I erase the meaning it holds in my life.
It also taught me the importance of grounding extraordinary experiences in the body, in discernment, in human connection and in everyday reality. It is one reason my work brings spiritual depth together with trauma-informed stress coaching and nervous-system awareness. I know that opening is not enough. We must also be able to return, integrate — and live.
I don’t believe you are broken
I will not diagnose your soul, tell you who you are or ask you to surrender your authority to me.
I don’t fix women.
I help them create enough safety to hear themselves again. I offer practices, perspectives, rituals and experiences through which something deeper can become possible—but you remain the authority in your own life.
My role is to see you clearly, hold a strong and compassionate space, challenge you when needed and accompany you into places you may not have entered alone.
Your role is to participate.
If you are willing to show up, practice, question, feel, experiment, take responsibility and actually live what you discover—then we can do extraordinary work together.
The sacred does not have to be solemn
Healing can be tender. It can also be wild, sensual, funny, irreverent and filled with joy.
I believe in dancing in forests.
In smiling toward the heart until it smiles back.
In bodies that do not exist to be pleasing.
In the creative, fertile intelligence of darkness.
In following joy without turning the Universe into a vending machine.
In magic that does not require us to abandon common sense.
In becoming less appropriate—and more ourselves—as we grow older.
I believe that spirituality should not dissolve our individuality. To me, the path is not about disappearing into a vague idea of oneness. It is about becoming fully enough yourself that another human being—and life itself — can truly meet you.
Your boundaries matter.
Your body matters.
Your difference matters.
Your particular way of being alive matters.
Storytelling is one of my oldest medicines
In 2003, I began telling A Fairy Tale, the story of True Love dividing itself into countless pieces so that, through all of existence, it could eventually encounter and love itself.
I have now told it hundreds of times, never in exactly the same way, to audiences ranging from one person to 1,500.
Improvisation is central to the way I work. I listen to the room, the person, the body and the moment. I improvise stories, songs and guided meditations—not to perform something polished, but to meet what is alive.
My creative life has also included writing, directing, producing and appearing in more than 60 films; interviewing scientists, politicians, diplomats, actors and activists; writing poetry; participating in dance performances; and facilitating groups, workshops, communities and difficult conversations.
These are not separate careers to me.
They are all ways of exploring the same questions:
What is a human being?
What becomes possible when we stop shrinking?
And how can we meet one another without abandoning ourselves?
My work today
I combine ancient shamanic approaches, contemporary spiritual practice, intuitive work and trauma-informed stress management.
I have offered private transformational sessions since 2003, facilitated workshops internationally since 2016 and hold diplomas in Stress Coaching and Reiki. I have also studied sociology, the history of science and ideas, film, theatre, communication, journalism, digital marketing and non-hierarchical project management.
I have lived in Stockholm, Spain and Vienna, and I work in Swedish, English and German, with conversational Spanish. Today I am based in Stockholm and work primarily online with women internationally.
I do not use medicinal plants to induce altered states. I respect those traditions, but my own work has led me to other ways of facilitating profound shifts in consciousness.
What I offer is neither conventional coaching with a little spirituality added, nor spirituality detached from the realities of the body.
It is a meeting place:
Between safety and wildness.
Between nervous-system regulation and spiritual transformation.
Between ancient practice and contemporary life.
Between the person you have learned to be—and the self who is still becoming.
You do not need to become fearless.
You do not need to become perfect.
You do not need to become someone else.
You are here to become more completely, courageously and magnificently yourself.
This is the work of coming back to yourself.
This is the Shift into Power.
